The start of something good.
Leading Edge Credit Union opened in Fulda, Minnesota on September 15, 1986. The grand opening was billed as the nation’s first new agricultural credit union in 30 years.
Since then, Leading Edge Credit Union has grown to serve members across southwestern Minnesota and northwestern Iowa. Our field of membership now includes the Minnesota counties of Murray, Nobles, Cottonwood, Jackson, Rock, Pipestone, Watonwan, Martin, Redwood, Brown, Lincoln, Lyon, Blue Earth, Faribault, and Nicollet, as well as the Iowa counties of Lyon, Dickinson, Osceola, Emmet, and Kossuth.
Today, LECU proudly serves more than 11,000 members with branch locations in Worthington, Fulda, Windom, Jackson, and Marshall – and we continue to grow alongside the communities we serve.

Chad, as our CEO and President, leads LECU’s strategic direction, growth initiatives, and day-to-day operations, with a strong focus on innovation and delivering an exceptional member experience. Having worked in nearly every role within the credit union structure, Chad truly lives and breathes the credit union difference. His leadership is centered on ensuring both our members and staff are supported and set up for long-term success.

Donna, CFO
Donna leads both our Accounting and Human Resources departments, ensuring the financial health of LECU while also supporting a strong, people-focused workplace culture. With a career spanning both Finance and HR, she brings a unique balance of strategic insight and operational expertise. Her focus is on maintaining the credit union’s financial strength while fostering an environment where employees and members thrive.

Laura, CIO
Laura serves as our Chief Information Officer, overseeing LECU’s technology strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity, compliance, cards, and loss prevention departments. Focused on innovation and regulatory adherence, Laura ensures our systems are secure, compliant, and deliver seamless digital experiences for both staff and members. Her leadership drives the credit union’s ongoing digital transformation while safeguarding assets and supporting long-term growth.
